Administration Services
To complement our dedicated server offerings and provide value to our
customers, BAIS provides complete or partial system administration services to help
free you from the day-to-day tasks of managing your infrastructure. Our highly skilled and
experienced staff can provide high-caliber server management and administration for your
server and relieve you or your staff from the management burden and responsibility. The
following operating environments are currently supported:

Unless otherwise specified in a specific service agreement,
system administration services include:

- Standard software upgrades and service release updates
- Mail Server (adding/deleting users, mail forwards,
auto-responders)
- Web Server and FTP Server management (access control, adding
domains, basic password security, server module support)
- Other customer specific tasks detailed in service agreement
- Operating System Troubleshooting
- Log File Rotation and Analysis

Software not
installed by BayArea.net staff will not be supported under standard or managed services
agreements unless specifically included in service agreement.
Special Notes:
System administration and troubleshooting does not include
troubleshooting of problems with CGI scripts, custom applications, or any other
customer-specific software, including, but not limited to: Perl scripts, custom CGI,
Active Server Pages, shell scripts, and web/database integration.

- System administration
and troubleshooting services also do not include costs of support services obtained from
third-party software vendors should they be necessary to return a server to
service.

Customers on monthly system administration services are
eligible for a 20% discount ($100 per hour) for time exceeding the allocated system
administration time. Our standard per incident hourly rate is $125.
System administration and related services are performed
between 7:30 AM PST and 6:00 PM PST, Monday through Friday. System administration services
performed outside of normal business hours, including Holidays and
weekends, will be at our hourly rate plus 15%.
