Infrastructure Monitoring...Resources Overview

Using Nimsoft's (www.nimsoft.com) scalable
monitoring platform, BAIS has created a comprehensive set of
solutions extending a broad range of products and services.
Following is an overview of the resources which can be monitored:
Network: BAIS Network Monitoring solution verifies network
connectivity to devices and application services revealing
accessibility and network latency. The solution auto-discovers
network interfaces, monitors interface traffic and calculates
bandwidth utilization.
Interface variables are polled for status data and the solution
receives unsolicited SNMP traps. Syslog monitoring is supported
for non-SNMP devices. Status data is analyzed and displayed in
graphical alarm consoles and performance reports.
Servers:
BAIS Server Monitoring solutions monitor core
server resources (CPU, memory, disk, event logs, counters, etc.)
and enable centralized management of remote processes and
services (i.e. automated and manual start/restart/stop). The
solution also offers packaged monitoring for a wide variety of
server configurations (i.e. web, email, database, etc.). All
server status information is presented in realtime alarm
dashboards and performance trend reports.
Supported platforms:
UNIX, Linux, BSD, Windows, iSeries AS400 and Netware.
Databases: BAIS Database Monitoring solution monitors a wide
array of availability and performance metrics for supported
database servers. Additionally, to provide visibility of service
quality as experienced by end-user's, the solution monitors
remote SQL query response times and transaction rates. All
database status information is presented in realtime alarm
dashboards and performance trend reports.
Supported
Database Systems: Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, DB2, MS SQL and
Informix.
Applications: BAIS Application Monitoring solution monitors a
wide array of availability and performance metrics for supported
application servers. All application status information is
presented in realtime alarm dashboards and performance trend
reports.
Supported Applications:
Exchange, Active
Directory, Weblogic, Websphere, Lotus Notes, Citrix, IIS, VMware,
SAP R/3.
Response
Time:
This is an end-to-end (ETE) application response
time monitoring service from an end-users perspective.
Additionally, the solution monitors response times for directory
services, web services, email services, database services and
network services. Response time data is analyzed and displayed
in graphical alarm consoles and performance reports.
Available Services for:
Networks, Applications, Databases, Web and other
resources.
CISCO
VoIP:
BAIS also offers monitoring services for Cisco
VoIP (Voice over IP) services and underlying infrastructure
components in accordance with end-user's service level
agreements. Components monitored include Cisco CallManager,
Cisco Gateways and Gatekeepers, Cisco IP and ATA Phones, Cisco
Routers and Switches, servers, firewalls, and more.
All Cisco VoIP status data is analyzed and displayed in
graphical alarm dashboards and performance reports.
Miscellaneous
Resources: BAIS can monitor any
resource, which can be accessed via the network such as
printers, power supplies, and environmental control equipments.
