Local ISP’s Expansion
Focuses Its Sights On High Quality Enabling Services
New Facility Goes Long Way
In Extending Bay
Area Internet Solutions’ Competitive Advantage
Santa Clara, Calif. – September 24,
2002 – A local ISP’s deft move to a new fully operational Class-A
Internet Data Center has extended its competitive advantage and
positioned the firm to offer high quality hosting and access services to
existing and future customers.
Bay Area Internet Solutions’
recent takeover of a 24,000 square foot Internet Data Center (IDC) in
Santa Clara, formerly operated by Exodus Communications, included $10
million of preinstalled infrastructure, which the Company procured for
pennies on the dollar. The move lets Bay Area Internet Solutions target
small, medium, and large enterprises with expanded, highly available
Internet access solutions that include key service offerings ranging
from pure co-location or limited managed services to fully managed
infrastructures, high-speed access solutions, and other related managed
services.
Bay Area Internet Solutions has long
offered a broad range of Internet access services, including leased line
access (Frame Relay, T1, T3, OC3), co-location, dedicated and shared
hosting, managed services, DSL, and dial-up remote access.
With its new Class-A IDC, Steve Stewart,
Vice President Sales & Marketing, reports that "Bay Area
Internet Solutions will focus on not only co-location, but also scalable
high-speed leased line access and additional managed infrastructure
services." According to Stewart, other new and expanded services
available from the Company include security evaluation and auditing,
infrastructure performance evaluation and consulting, complete
infrastructure deployment and management, complex network monitoring and
reporting, comprehensive "Remote Hands" services, system
network administration, managed VPN and firewalls, and data back up and
restore services.
Because Bay Area Internet Solutions was
able to dramatically increase its capabilities at a significantly lower
cost than its competitors, "We intend to be as aggressive as
possible by extending extremely competitively priced solutions to both
potential and existing customers. Prospective customers can rest assured
there is a strong, financially stable service provider right here in the
Bay Area that is capable of addressing all their Internet
needs," says Mr. Stewart.
