Phase II expansion of datacenter almost complete

The expansion of our datacenter facility is almost complete.We have added 2x700 tons chillers, 18 x300kva PDUs, 7 UPSs, 24 RPCs, 18 STSs, 11 CRAC units and 3x2meg watts generators. As you may have noticed, the expansion area is fenced off and being populated with high density server racks.

BAIS received the SVP Energy Innovator Award at the Silicon Valley Energy Summit at Stanford University

Last Friday, June 25, our CEO, Tom Wye, accepted the prestigeous Energy Innovator Award presented by Santa Clara Mayor, Patricia M. Mahan. The energy innovator awards were given out at the Silicon Valley Energy Summit which was held at Stanford University this year. BAIS has been awarded the Silicon Valley Power (SVP) Energy Efficiency Partner Award

Our datacenter facility at 2050 Martin Ave has been constructed with environmentally friendly products and systems by utilizing the newest energy efficient technology and architectural design methodologies. These efforts not only enabled us to receive the maximum rebate from SVP, they also chose us to receive one of their prestigious Innovation Awards. Here is the info:

Tom Wye, our CEO was a speaker at the Emerson Datacenter User Group (DCUG)

Tom was invited to present at the Emerson DCUG last month in Chicago. He talked about "Building an Efficient High-Availability Data Center".

Now he has been invited to participate in a panel discussion at the next Datacenter Dynamics conference in San Francisco.
Try to attend. It will take place July 16, 2010.

All our customers have been migrated to the new facility

We are happy  that the migration went smooth and without any major problems. We like to thank all our customers for their great cooperation and support in this endevour.  We understand and appreciate the troubles you may have encountered because of this move.  It is our ultimate goal to provide you with exceptional service and support in our new and innovative datacenter facility.

Count Down to Shutdown

Well, the shutdown of our old co-location facility at 2650 San Tomas is approaching rapidly. We are well on our way to migrate our customers to the new facility at 2050 Martin Avenue. Counting the days to decommissioning the old BAIS Colo.

BAIS is awarded the maximum rebate from Silicon Valley Power for its energy saving measures.

Silicon Valley Power has awarded us the maximum rebate grant available to a customer in a calendar year.Our datacenter facility has an innovative economizer design. In addition, we have implimented energy saving equipment, such as cold aisle containment racks and CRAC units equipped with EC plug fans, which all contribute to huge energy savings.  We are very proud of this accomplishment and thrive to continue to provide best of breed services to our customers, while saving our planet.

BAIS Customers migrating to the new Co-location facility

Since December of 2009 we have successfully migrated more than 50 percent of our co-location customers to the new datacenter facility on Martin Avenue. Customers are extremely happy about the new space accomodations, power and cooling capacity. We are very excited to be able to offer our customers this state-of-the-art facility at the same rate as the old facility.
