Multiple DS1/T1 Dedicated Access

  • Affordable Solutions

Need more BANDWIDTH ......need a FAILOVER solution for your mission-critical applications?

Need more bandwidth than a single T1 but do not want to spend the money for a whole DS3 circuit?
Our scalable T1 solution is an excellent choice. Short of co-locating your server infrastructure in our high-availability data center with massive paths to the Internet, another alternative for getting more bandwidth and reliability is to aggregate multiple T1's into a single high-bandwidth pipe to the Internet.

Our Scalable T1 solution can provide up to 8 full-rate T1's aggregated into a single connection to the Internet. By multiplexing two or more T1 lines, this very scalable solution provides from 3 Mbps (dual T1) to 12 Mbps (eight T1's) of bandwidth. Depending on the need for throughput and/or reliability, this solution can be a better choice and often less expensive than an equivalent DS3/T3 solution.

Failover Options

Dual or multiple leased line connections to BAIS can be provisioned over two separate carrier (Telco) networks, ensuring failure isolation and increased levels of fault tolerance and availability--and only one provider!

The following figure shows the typical topology and connectivity scheme for a high-availability dual T1 connection.

Multiple T1 Options

Finally a reasonable priced higher bandwidth access solution that can bridge the gap between the limited availability and high costs of DS3/T3 services:

Inverse Multiplexing multiple T1s:

Inverse multiplexing enables the transport of data at a faster rate than T1, and less expensively than T3. In addition, the technology provides built-in high-availability features that allow you to have a fault-tolerant connection that supports continued connectivity despite the fact that single or multiple T1 links may have failed (Self-Healing Fabric).

The following figure shows the typical topology and connectivity scheme for a scalable T1 solution.

Multiple T1 connections can also be terminated on separate carrier networks. This provisioning approach reduces the possibility of a single Telco network failure disrupting your connectivity to the global Internet.

  • Key Benefits
  • Availability
  • Terms and Conditions
  • Scalable bandwidth and throughput performance up to 12 Mbps
  • Aggregates multiple T1's into a single pipe.
  • Multiple self-healing paths to Internet
  • Managed and monitored solution, end-to-end
  • Single point of contact for support
  • Lower cost alternative to fractional DS3 circuits
  • Increased bandwidth and throughput performance
  • Automatic fail-over to surviving connection

A T1-based solution can be delivered to any location that has telephone services. In some cases, wiring may not be readily available for multiple T1 lines (each T1 typically requires 2 pairs of copper wire). This service requires copper terminations on both ends of each T1 line. Fiber mux terminations or end-links (hubs) are not supported (two channel terminations required). Our multiple T1 solution offers maximum scalability, performance, and high-availability for your mission-critical applications.

Here's what this solution provides:

  • Dedicated and aggregated LAN access to the Internet via multiple dedicated, point-to-point DS1/T1 circuits, up to 6 or 12 Mbps
  • Common or different carrier network connection mixes provides additional diversity and availability
  • Free use of access equipment for duration of term
  • IP address space
  • Primary and/or secondary DNS and registration
  • Real-time circuit usage monitoring
  • Knowledgeable and experienced 24x7 technical support
  • 24x7x365 network monitoring from our Network Operations Center (NOC)
  • Complete circuit provisioning management - from order to install
  • Free CPE configuration and installation (2-year terms only)
  • Backup SMTP mail spooling
  • Added tax benefit by not purchasing equipment and carrying on books as depreciating asset.
  • Upgrades or changes to equipment are available. Some restrictions and additional costs may apply.
  1. All Service offerings are subject to availability.
  2. CPE remains the property of BAIS and must be returned upon contract termination.
  3. All promotional DS1 access services require a minimum 1-year term commitment. 2-year terms are eligible for an additional savings on ISP and carrier charges.
  4. Pricing does not include related costs associated with local telephone company circuit installation, mileage, local-loop fees and additional customer premise equipment as described below:
  • A one-time Telco access facility installation fee to connect your location to our nearest POP. Prices for dual solutions will vary based on different providers.
  • A monthly Telco local-loop fee associated with the dedicated circuit(s) from your site to our POP. This fee can vary depending on the distance from your location to our POP and the proximity to and/or availability of fiber facilities. Please provide address and telephone number of location requiring service for a formal quote.
  • A network access router and associated software and cabling is included with promotional offers. Additional charges may apply for different access routers or equipment configurations. CPE must be purchased for monthly terms or for fractional services.
  • Promotional offers require a minimum of two (2) T1 circuits ordered at time of contract signing.
